Okefenokee & Satilla Expeditions’ all-inclusive guided paddle camping trips include your boats (canoes and/or kayaks), camping gear (tents, sleeping bags, sleeping pads), meals, snacks, beverages, camping necessities, chairs, toiletries, camping permit fees, photos of your adventure, guide service, and Naturalist storytelling and interpretation on the swamp's flora, fauna, human history, and natural history (from your locally born and raised guide).

Arrive ready to paddle and we’ll take care of the rest! Meet your guide and fellow adventurers, get fitted with top-quality kayaks and canoes, paddles, and life jackets, load the boats, then go through a safety briefing and paddling overview before hitting the water. With small group sizes and an experienced, local guide leading the way, you’ll be free to relax, explore, and soak in the wild beauty of Okefenokee’s cypress and waterlily-lined paddling trails.

Sites are TBD until the permit reservation window opens for each trip’s dates. Information will be updated here once permits are secured.

During these leisurely-paced trips, we’ll have the opportunity to look for a variety of bird life, reptiles, mammals, and fascinating plant life of the Okefenokee Swamp. Your guide will answer your questions and help you learn all about the amazing wetland around you. Upon arrival at our campsites (either platforms or island camps), you’ll set up camp while your guide begins dinner preparations. If you don’t have experience camping, your guide can help you set up your tent and equipment, giving helpful camping advice to make sure you have a comfortable night. Solo adventurers, couples, families, and friends are all welcome on our trips! No paddling experience required, but moderate fitness is necessary.

Paddle camp one of Georgia’s most scenic rivers! White sandbars on nearly every bend, twists and turns to explore, with lush plant life and wildlife all around. Learn about the ecology and history of the river once called Puturiba by the Native Americans. This trip is dependent on water level. Boats (canoes and/or kayaks), paddling equipment, camping equipment, camp necessities, chairs and tables, meals, snacks, beverages, toiletries, and guide service all included.
