This 6-6.5 hour long guided paddling trip will have you on a leisurely downstream float on one of the prettiest sections of the Great Satilla River! Registration fee includes: canoe(s) or kayak(s), paddles, PFDs, water, snacks and a light meal, guide service, and Naturalist interpretation. There are plenty of beautiful sandbars and wild stretches to enjoy! We will stop to enjoy a light meal (sandwich fixings and fruit/chips) along the way on one of the many sandbars. If the gauge at Atkinson is above 9 feet we will reschedule the trip. Below 9 feet the trip will proceed!
We will stage our vehicles for shuttling between Ava Strickland Landing (Hwy 82) and Deep Bend Landing (a privately run family campground) before the trip. There is a parking fee per vehicle at Deep Bend Landing that your tour fee will cover.

DEPOSIT and CANCELLATION POLICY
A 50% deposit must be paid within 60 days of the date of a trip, rental, or shuttle, with the final payment being made within 14 days to the date. At least 72 hours advance notice must be given to receive a full refund. For cancellations within 72 hours of the start of a trip, rental, or shuttle, the deposit can not be refunded. In the event of severe inclement weather (heavy rainfall predicted for the entire day, moderate to severe thunderstorms, tornado watches/warnings, etc), a full refund will be issued, or, the tour can be rescheduled for a later date at no extra cost.
